Export User Custom Field Data

The app allows exporting the user custom field definitions and their values. This is useful for taking periodic snapshots of application data, as well as when migrating application data from Cloud to Data Center.

To export the user custom fields data:

  • Log in as a Jira admin

  • Navigate to Jira Settings > Apps > PROJECT TEAM > Data Export page

  • Click the Start Export button to begin the export process. This might take a while, depending on the number of users from your Jira instance.

  • When the export is finished, click one of the appropriate buttons to save the data in the desired format:

    • Download as CSV - exports the data in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format, which you can then open in tools such as Microsoft Excel.

    • Download as JSON - exports the data in JSON format. This is needed when migrating app data from Cloud to Data Center.
